About Kelvin
I've competed in Olympic recurve archery for 7 years, shooting in over 20 competitions and earning awards across the 10m, 18m, 30m, and 50m ranges. That competitive experience — the discipline, the small technical corrections that make a big difference, the mental game of standing at the line — is what shapes how I coach.
I'm an NCCP Certified Archery Coach. I coach independently, using range facilities in Markham. I work with youths (7–18) and adults (18+) — from complete beginners to intermediate archers looking to improve — and I coach comfortably in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
I don't run a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Some students want to build fundamentals from zero; others already shoot and want to fix specific technical issues; and some students shoot for the peace of mind. Lessons are shaped around your goals, your current level, and how you learn best.
Whether you've never held a bow before or you're looking to build a solid foundation, my lessons are built around one-on-one attention — going at your pace, correcting form early, and making sure the fundamentals stick.
My coaching style is built on open communication. Lessons are a two-way conversation, not a one-way lecture — I welcome questions and ideas from my students, and I actively use their feedback to keep improving as a coach. We grow together toward your goals.
