Booking & Pricing
Do I need to book in advance, or can I just show up?
Lessons are by appointment — please contact me to book a time.
What's your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
I ask for at least 2 days' notice to cancel or reschedule.
Do you offer any discounts for multiple lessons?
The lesson rate is set by the archery club and isn't something I can discount. That said, if you're committing to lessons long-term, I'm happy to check with the club to see if anything's possible.
About Lessons
Do I need any experience to start?
Not at all — I coach complete beginners from the ground up.
I've shot before — can you help me improve?
Yes. If you already have experience, I'll focus on refining your technique and working on whatever's holding your progress back.
What age range do you coach?
I coach a range of ages — youths (7–18) and adults (18+).
Can I switch between working on fundamentals and specific technique issues?
Yes — I tailor each lesson's structure based on your performance and needs, so it adjusts as you progress.
Do you coach in Cantonese or Mandarin as well as English?
Yes — I coach comfortably and fluently in all three languages.
Logistics
Where exactly are lessons held?
Solely Archery Club, 44 Riviera Dr, Markham, ON L3R 5M1.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available on-site.
What happens if I'm running late?
Please let me know as soon as you can — depending on how late, we may need to shorten the lesson or reschedule.
Is this indoor or outdoor? What about bad weather?
It's an indoor range, so weather doesn't affect lessons.
About Me as a Coach
What's your coaching background?
I've competed in Olympic recurve archery for 7 years. I'm a certified NCCP coach, and I coach independently.
Are you NCCP certified?
Yes. My NCCP number is 7167654. The NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) is Canada's official coach certification system, recognized nationwide and delivered in partnership with national and provincial sport bodies — for archery, that's Archery Canada and Archery Ontario. Do you coach competitively yourself, or only teach?
Both. I tailor lessons to what you're after — whether that's training toward competition, or just learning to shoot for enjoyment.
